Kasaragod District Panchayat – Annual Financial Statement 2025–2026

     The Annual Financial Statement (AFS) 2025–26 of the Kasaragod District Panchayat presents a comprehensive overview of the Panchayat's financial performance and position for the financial year from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. The statement has been prepared in accordance with the prescribed accounting standards for Local Self Government Institutions and reflects the principles of transparency, accountability, and prudent financial management.
The AFS comprises the Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure Statement, Receipt and Payment Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting financial schedules. These statements collectively provide information on the Panchayat's income, expenditure, assets, liabilities, cash flows, receipts, payments, and overall financial position during the financial year.
The financial statements indicate that the District Panchayat generated revenue from Government grants, property rentals, user charges, sale proceeds, interest income, and other approved sources. Expenditure was incurred for development programmes, public services, infrastructure development, employee establishment, administrative functions, welfare schemes, and maintenance of public assets. The Balance Sheet presents the Panchayat's assets, liabilities, reserves, and cash balances as on 31 March 2026, while the Cash Flow Statement reflects cash generated and utilised through operating, investing, and financing activities during the year.
